This bag is very popular in the high street fashion and giftware market. They are also a 'must have' for exhibitions and promotions where they offer a mobile advertising space for an eye catching logo. Various styles are available:
Patch Handle: The bag has a punched out aperture reinforced by an additional 'patch' behind the handle.
Varigauge: A bag using a variable thickness of polythene giving strength to the bag without the need for reinforcements around the handle.
Loop Handle: An additional handle affixed to the top of the bag.
TurnOver Top: Gives added strength and a quality look to a standard carrier bag.
Fashion carriers can be manufactured in a wide range of colours in either 'soft' low density or 'crisp' high density film. UK manufacturing starts at a minimum of 1,000 units according to size and complexity of design. Bags can also be obtained from overseas in larger quantities.
Printing can vary from a single colour colour central design to a full colour process print with quantities from 5,000.
Printed Vest Carrier Bags
Vest carriers are the supermarket's carrier of choice, so called because of their shape when laid out flat. They offer a very cheap, cost effective carrier bag. These bags are normally made from high density polythene and in the thousands from the Far East. Due to their origin there is normally a minimum order in place, starting at 10,000, and a 16 week lead time. Alternatives can be sourced from UK shores but there is still a minimum of 10,000.
